"In select locations around the world, provided the correct conditions of sun, rainfall, wind and elevation, wildflowers can blossom in the desert. In the desolation of the driest, hottest environment, life erupts from the ground in the form of wildflowers, bathing a vast beige canvas in splashes of vibrant colour. This phenomena aptly lends its name to ‘Desert Bloom’, the lush solo project of NYC multi-instrumentalist Rachel Nam. Desert Bloom’s electro-tinged dream pop emulates that which it takes its name from by squeezing the effervescent into the everyday.
